I currently work with Capital IQ India as a 'Research Associate' in their India research center. Capital IQ, Inc. (www.capitaliq.com) is the financial services information arm of the Standard & Poor's group. Capital IQ provides information support to investment banks, corporates and professional service firms using the Application Service Provider (ASP) model. Capital IQ has developed a unique proprietary software platform to deliver data and information real time to its clients. The position involves researching North American and European Markets and tracking and analyzing merger and acquisition (M&A) activity in North America. The job requires a thorough understanding of the functioning of the financial services industry in general and the capital markets in particular. I hold an MBA, majoring in Marketing from the Pune University. In my graduate (B.Sc. Honours) studies, I specialized in Microbiology. GE Capital, Gurgaon, India; Dec 2002 to Aug 2003 Worked as a 'Collections Associate' with G E Capital India (www.gecapitalindia.com), the in-house BPO facility of General Electric. The position involved making collections from high-end US-based loan defaulters of G E Capital.   Hill & Associates, Bangalore, India; Sep 2000 to Jun 2002 Recruited on-campus as a 'Research Analyst' with Hill & Associates (www.hill-assoc.com), a Hong Kong-based multi-national risk-management firm. Responsibilities included providing information support and workable inputs to the worldwide organization from the research center located in Bangalore.
